We watched the RU principle #1 video at our last meeting, which teaches and reiterates that "if God's against it, then so am I." This principle seems fundamental, but it is the simple things that are profound, and if we would sear this thought into our soul, it would deliver us from many a temptation.
God truly is against drug and alcohol abuse (and all sin), so we must be too. In my reading this morning, I came across a great prayer request from the Psalmist that relates to this principle, it says "...grant me thy law graciously," Psalm 119:29. So, even though God is against something and we should be too, we need His grace to obey His law(s)!
