Meeting Summary

We had a good meeting Friday night, as we watched a short, yet powerful, video called "Cardboard Testimonies", geared around success stories of people who have overcome addiction through the Power of Christ. In our Bible time, we discussed how the church is like unto husbandry and a building in 1 Corinthians 3.

Husbandry in our example was a grape vine, and we discussed how it needs support to keep its branches out of the dirt in order to be clean and become fruitful. This support is what Life Issues offers, but Christ supplies the life. The church is also like a building, and Christ is the foundation; so I encouraged my audience to take heed how we build on that foundation if they are already saved, or to accept Christ and establish that foundation if they hadn't.
